I’ll guide you to cultivate a healing relationship with the land.
Hello, I’m Anna.
I’m a mother, gardener, photographer, and advocate for the Great Salt Lake.
My journey with In Joy Native began in the soil of my own healing. When cancer changed everything in 2012, the garden brought me back to myself — and to my mother, who first placed tools in my hands.
Gardening taught me respect, reciprocity, and resilience. I think that’s it’s gift to everyone.
Every garden is a chance to honor the ecosystems we inhabit, to reconnect with life at our doorstep, and to choose care over convenience.

Why the name In Joy?
After my mother’s passing, I wanted to live not just in memory, but in joy.
To garden “in joy” is to tend the earth with presence, gratitude, and hope for what blooms next.
That’s how we do it at In Joy. Explore our work.
